TAP Air Portugal
A global network with its heart in Lisbon
For over 80 years, TAP Air Portugal has been one of the leading airlines in Europe, connecting Portugal to the rest of the world through an extensive and ever-expanding network. Thanks to its strategic location, services tailored to the modern traveler, and a strong presence on intercontinental routes, it has established itself as a leading partner for both business and leisure travelers.
Lisbon at the center of a global network
Founded in 1945 and a member of Star Alliance, TAP Air Portugal is Portugal’s flagship carrier and a major player in connecting Europe, the Americas, and Africa. Through its hub in Lisbon, it operates more than 1,250 weekly flights to 88 destinations worldwide, standing out in particular as the leader on routes between Europe and Brazil.
A well-established presence in Brazil
The airline offers direct flights to 15 Brazilian destinations: Belém, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Curitiba, Florianópolis, Fortaleza, Natal, Maceió, Manaus, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, São Paulo, and São Luís. In total, the service between Europe and Brazil exceeds 100 weekly flights, confirming TAP Air Portugal’s strategic role in one of the most important markets in its network.
Over 100 weekly flights from Italy
From Italy, TAP Air Portugal offers more than 100 weekly flights to Lisbon from the airports in Milan, Rome, Venice, Florence, Bologna, and Naples. Thanks to the strategic location of the Portuguese hub, passengers can easily connect to a wide network of international destinations in Europe, the Americas, and Africa.
Strategic Connections to North America
The network of flights to North America is also particularly extensive. From Lisbon, there are flights to Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York (JFK and Newark), San Francisco, Washington, and Orlando. In Canada, the network also includes Montréal and Toronto, for a total of 77 weekly flights between Portugal and North America.
An increasingly premium travel experience
Alongside the expansion of its network, TAP continues to invest in the travel experience. On intercontinental flights, Economy Prime is available—a cabin designed to offer more space, priority services, Fast Track, premium dining, and greater flexibility.
The offering is rounded out by Business Class, which includes access to dedicated lounges, Fast Track, and a culinary experience inspired by Portuguese traditions. On long-haul flights, fully flat seats also ensure maximum comfort during the journey.
Innovation and Sustainability in the Fleet
The fleet renewal program continues with the introduction of the Airbus A320neo, A321neo, A321LR, and A330neo aircraft. These latest-generation models ensure greater operational efficiency, superior comfort, and reduced emissions.
Thanks to the expansion of its network and the strategic location of its Lisbon hub, TAP Air Portugal is an ideal choice for both business and leisure travel, offering efficient connections to some of the world’s leading destinations.
