A significant step in CTI
's efforts to expand into the UK market

With more than 20 years of experience in global sales and business development, David Hollands-the newUK Country Manager of Cisalpina Tours International-was chosen for his solid expertise in strategic leadership related to the business travel industry. His appointment represents a significant step in CTI ‘s efforts to expand its presence in the UK market and strengthen TMC’s relationships with multinational clients.

Prior to joining CTI, Hollands held senior roles at Tripbam, where he contributed to growth and visibility in the marketplace through targeted strategies; he also served as Senior Director of Business Development at Advito, advising companies on travel category management modernization and travel expense optimization.

His 13-year stint at Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) as Group Director of Global Sales also qualified as a key career highlight, during which he successfully led global sales teams and developed customer programs in international markets.

David Hollands will head the London office, reporting to Giorgio Garcea, Chief Commercial and Operations Officer, and Loretta Bartolucci, Commercial Director with responsibility for the international sphere as well.

The UK remains a top destination for business travel and according to various sources (Statista, World Economic Forum) ranks 5th in the world, after China, the US, Germany and Japan. According to an annual survey of global business leaders conducted by consulting firm PwC, Her Majesty Charles’ country ranks second in investment attraction after the United States. Presented at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in the Swiss ski resort of Davos (Jan. 2025), the survey involved nearly 5,000 CEOs from 109 countries and features the highest score for the UK in the survey’s 28-year history.
